Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dear Trojan Community,

Today is a very special day when we come together as a community and a nation to honor the legacy and impact of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His eloquence, passion for justice and transformative activism continue to inspire people around the world.

With the tumult that has surrounded us for months, reflecting on his legacy is especially meaningful this year. It’s a time when upholding our nation’s foundational principles of justice, equality, freedom and democracy, and recognizing our shared humanity, have never been more important. Dr. King’s words and his courage and strength will continue to guide us toward the community we seek.

I am filled with gratitude that here at USC, our students, faculty, staff and alumni dedicate themselves every day to creating a civil community that champions equality and respect – a community that seeks to use our gifts and knowledge for the good of others.

As we mark this special day, I hope you will join me, along with faculty, staff, students and civic leaders, in paying tribute to Dr. King at 12 noon PT. Please see the webinar details below.

Sincerely,

Carol L. Folt
President
