Assembly

Faculty assemble in Allyson Felix Field (at the Katherine B. Loker Track Stadium). Current and retired faculty may march in the processional.

You should plan on arriving to Allyson Felix Field no later than 8:30 a.m.

Note, classes will not be canceled on Friday morning, but professors with classes scheduled are encouraged to send their students to the ceremony.

Processional

The investiture processional will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and will last about 25 minutes. All delegates will march from the front steps of Bovard Auditorium into Alumni Park. Each group of delegates will be led by at least one marshal to the appropriate seating area.

Attire

You will march in the regalia representing the highest academic degree you have earned; if you do not own your own regalia, the university will provide it for all those who place their order online by Friday, Sept. 11. Faculty who did not order regalia by the deadline may still be able to march in the procession. A limited supply of extra USC specific regalia will be available the morning of Oct. 16.

Faculty regalia ordered online will be available for pickup at the University Bookstore on the 3rd floor in the Grad Area, from Wednesday, Oct. 14, through Thursday, Oct. 15, from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. You must bring your regalia with you on Friday morning. If you are unable to pick up your rented regalia in advance, regalia pick-up will be available the morning of the event at the USC bookstore patio starting at 8:00 a.m.
